Master of Law (Faculty of Law of the University of Silesia in Katowice, 1973) and graduate of the Postgraduate Foreign Trade Studies at the University of Economics in Katowice (1976). In 1982 he obtained a doctoral degree in Political Science at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Silesia in Katowice. Press, radio and television commentator in the field of social communication, image creation and advertising. From the beginning of his professional career, he was a research worker and academic teacher at the University of Silesia. In 1987-88 he won a Fullbright scholarship at the Faculty of Communication of the University of California, San Diego. Intern at the London Broadcasting Research Unit at the British Film Institute (1986).
In the years 1997–2005, advisor on social communication of the Deputy Prime Minister and President of the National Bank of Poland Leszek Balcerowicz. Communication advisor and management boards' image developer, i.e. for PGNiG, Tauron SA, Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego, Górnośląski Bank Gospodarczy, among others. Co-author of the election campaigns of Leszek Balcerowicz (1997), Andrzej Olechowski (2000) and Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz (2006). In the years 1990–2000 he was the president and general director of the PolMedia Advertising Agency in Katowice. In the years 1999–2001 he was the vice president of the management board of the Friends of the University of Silesia in Katowice association.
